Tyra ramp-up to full production progresses
Esbjerg, 19 December 2024 – The ramp-up of Tyra is progressing, with gas flow from three out of six fields already re-established. Due to operational challenges and weather-dependent activities, the ramp-up is, however, taking slightly longer than expected. Full production is now anticipated in the second half of January 2025.

Tyra has established full technical capacity
Esbjerg, 11 November 2024 – Ahead of the winter season, TotalEnergies EP Danmark, on behalf of the Danish Underground Consortium, is pleased to announce that all necessary machinery is now fully operational at the new Tyra facilities. This milestone marks the achievement of full technical capacity, enabling the gradual ramp-up to production plateau before year-end.

Commissioning and remediation works progress at Tyra
Esbjerg, 8 July 2024 – Since first gas was exported from the new Tyra facilities to Denmark in March 2024, the teams have been working diligently to resolve unforeseen technical occurrences which are impacting the production ramp-up. While work to remedy the malfunctioning equipment continues, the team is in parallel also focused on measures to add additional gas supplies to Denmark.

Ramp-up of production from Tyra temporarily impacted by malfunctioning transformer
Esbjerg, 6 May 2024 – The redeveloped Tyra delivered its first gas supplies in the spring of 2024, and the largest infrastructure project in the Danish North Sea is in the ramp-up phase towards full production. Reaching the full technical capacity of Tyra is now expected in Q4 2024 due to an unforeseen technical occurrence.

TotalEnergies Restarts Gas Production at the Tyra Offshore Hub after a Major Redevelopment
Paris/Copenhagen, March 22, 2024 – TotalEnergies announces the restart of production from the Tyra hub in the Danish North Sea, after the completion of a major redevelopment project of this hub. At plateau, the Tyra hub will produce 5.7 million cubic meters of gas and 22,000 barrels of condensate per day, once again making Denmark self-sufficient and a net exporter of natural gas. TotalEnergies operates the Tyra field on behalf of Danish Underground Consortium, a partnership between TotalEnergies (43.2%), BlueNord (36.8%) and Nordsøfonden (20%).

The Tyra field is getting ready for restart
Esbjerg, 22 January 2024 – The preparation for restart of Tyra is progressing according to plan, although a number of operational uncertainties remain in this final phase. The project progress to date indicates that the current restart date of 31 March 2024 remains valid but depending on project progress, it could be reached earlier in March. The outcome of tests now suggests that a ramp-up to full technical capacity is expected to take four months from the restart.

Milestone: The Tyra hub is now reconnected to the surrounding fields
Esbjerg, 7 September 2023 – The Tyra Redevelopment project has now marked yet another important milestone on the path to resume production: The project team has completed the final work on the subsea infrastructure which connects Tyra with the surrounding fields. Together, the fields will contribute to Denmark's and Europe’s energy security and independence once Tyra’s production is back at full capacity.

Tyra II is ready to be powered up
Esbjerg, 6 July 2023 – TotalEnergies has successfully completed the power up of two gas turbines at the Tyra field – almost one month ahead of schedule. This represents a crucial step in the final stages of the Tyra Redevelopment since the two active gas turbines constitute the main means of power supply for the entire Tyra II hub including the surrounding fields.

Milestone: Tyra is reconnected to Denmark
Esbjerg, 30 June 2023 – TotalEnergies has successfully re-established the connection of the pipeline between the Tyra field and Denmark. This enables the gas export once the field resumes its production in the winter season 2023/24 and marks an important step contributing to Danish and European energy independence.
