Meet Facundo: Testing the new Tyra facilities progresses

In this newest video, you will meet Facundo Cestona who is Commissioning Site Leader for the Tyra Redevelopment Project. Facundo will take you on a tour on the new high-tech processing module and give you interesting insights into the final phase of the project, where testing plays an important role. Learn more about how, when and why we perform the tests and meet the team behind.

During the recent months, the team safely completed crucial steps in the final stage of the Tyra Redevelopment such as the reconnection of Tyra with the surrounding fields and Denmark as well as the powerup and first testing of the new equipment

The largest infrastructure project in the Danish North Sea is currently in the very final phase, where the project team works on critical stages and thorough testing of the systems to verify the integrity of the systems, guarantee high quality, and ensure safe work conditions for the crew before gas will enter the new facilities and we re-start Tyra’s production.

About the Tyra Redevelopment project

In September 2019, the production from Denmark’s largest gas field, Tyra, has been suspended for its redevelopment which presents the largest single investment in the North Sea ever. Since then, the old facilities were removed and recycled, and eight new platforms were constructed and successfully installed in the Danish North Sea. Currently, the team prepares for the re-start of facilities which are expected to deliver 2.8 billion cubic meters gas per year at full capacity making Denmark again a net-exporter and self-sufficient in natural gas – an important contribution to Danish and European energy security and independence.
